Uncommon Objects

Have you ever been to Austin, Texas? No? Well I highly recommend it. I went this spring with my sister and on top of it being one of the coolest places "vibe wise" that I have ever been, they have one of my favorite stores in the world: Uncommon Objects. Pretty much the only pictures I took were from the shop, so here they are:

This beautiful world...

*Sigh*-bottles

My Mom gave me this exact lazy susan for my birthday a couple of years ago. I love it for parties!

If you ever go to Austin you have to stop by. Everything is amazingly arranged and displayed. It is a dream! My only regret- I was pregnant so I couldn't sample a margarita at every stop. Oh well, something tells me I will be back!

  1. You know it's a fantastic store when I've heard about it way over here in Florida! That's exactly the kind of stuff I love, things with history, things with beautiful wear, things that are just eccentric enough...how can anyone resist a bow tie in a lazy susan? And how can anyone get by without a lazy susan in general? We had one when I was a kid, but it had to be placed someplace really high up because my little brother used to spin it so fast the things on it used to fly off in all directions.

    That globe is a heartbreaker.

    1. The globe was by far my favorite, I just couldn't quite fit it in my suitcase! If you go to Austin you have to stop by- the shop is so wonderfully curated. It is incredibly inspiring and interesting. I could have stayed there all day long.
I love that lazy susan too- it is hard to see in the picture, but it is delightfully speckled with 70s orange paint. Just gaudy enough...
